Buckeyes Top Miami's Men's Swimmers and Divers

COLUMBUS, Ohio - JIMMY BERES, Mark Healey and Anderson Whipp all captured individual event victories, but it wasn't enough as host Ohio State handed Miami's men's swimming and diving team a 144-94 defeat.
Beres, a native of Columbus, won the one-meter diving event in his hometown and placed second in the three-meter competition.
Whipp, a sophomore, won the 100 breaststroke event in a time of 1:00.66.
Healey finished first in the 100 freestyle (47.87), just six-one-hundredths of a second ahead of teammate Dan Nemeth (47.93) and nearly a full-second ahead of Miami's John Eick (48.63) who placed third.
Coach Pete Lindsay's RedHawks face Kenyon on Saturday afternoon.
