Women's Swimmers Beat Kenyon

Senior distance swimmer Miranda Kaltenborn and freshman diver Nikki Craft both won two individual events as Miami cruised past Kenyon, 168-71.
It was the fourth consecutive dual meet victory by the RedHawks, improving their season record to 4-1.
Kaltenborn, a senior from Memphis, Tenn., registered individual wins in both the 500 freestyle (5:07.23) and the 1000 free (10:25.69).
Craft, a first-year collegian from Bay Village, triumphed in both the one-meter (284.55) and three-meter (317.70) board events.
There were six other RedHawk swimmers who won individual events. Junior Chelsey Bruington touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.20). Sophomore Bekka Westrick paced a one-two-three Miami finish in the 50 free, swimming the sprint event in 23.89. Senior All-American Kelsey Vehr took the 400 individual medley (4:31.76). Sophomore MAEGAN CONNOR took first in the 200 butterfly. Sophomore Leah Thornton captured the 200 backstroke as Miamians swept the first three places. And senior breaststroker Megan Brunn won the 200 in 2:19.10, followed by Vehr and Stacie Clagg.
The RedHawks also took first place in the two relay races, posting a time of 3:53.92 in the 400 medley and a clocking of 3:33.06 in the 400 free relay.
Miami's next action will be at home from Dec. 2-4 when it hosts the annual Miami Invitational.
