Miami-Purdue Women's Swimming Results in PDF Format
WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana -- Miami University's standout breaststroke tandem of Kelsey Vehr (Cincinnati) and Megan Brunn (Mansfield) posted individual victories, but the RedHawks fell as a team to powerful Purdue in their season opener, 190-105.
Vehr won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:03.97, while Brunn the 200 breaststroke with a clocking of 2:18.59.
Miamians who finished second in their individual events included freshman Nikki Craft (Bay Village) in the one-meter diving, Corrine Bangs (Monument, CO) in the three-meter diving, Miranda Kaltenborn (Memphis, TN) in the 1000 freestyle, Kelsey Mallon (Wheaton, IL) in the 200 butterfly, Vehr in the 200 breaststroke, and Chelsey Bruington (Mission Viejo, CA) in the 500 free.
Miami's women's and men's teams entertain Xavier Saturday at the Nixon Aquatic Center. The first event begins at 2 p.m. There is no admission charge.
