| Al: Keep your heads up, fellas - great effort. You made us proud. | |
| Todd & Jackson Fryburger (Atlanta): My six year old son, Jackson, and I were there for the semifinal, and afterwards met many of you back at the team hotel. Each of you took time to sign autographs with my son, but moreover, to spend personal time with him. You made a HUGE impression on him, not just on what it takes to be a successful athlete, but also what it takes to be a man - with class, dignity and style. You will be back in the Frozen Four, no doubt great things to come for the program, but what is more important, Coach Blasi and the university have prepared you all to be champions in life, and that is a great thing to see. Congratulations on a great season, and all the best from Atlanta! | |

I am so proud of our team and school. Love and Honor.
| Ken (Cincinnati): I am sure this was just the first shot at a national championship with many more opportunities to come. It was a great season and you made everyone associated with Miami very proud. This has been so much fun... let's do it again next year. | |
| Brian, TX: Y'all played an amazing game last night. BU just had the pressure in the right place. That 2nd goal really was ugly and shouldn't have gone in but it did. Either way, y'all held it down, espcially in a game that BU expected to be over with in the first. Great fight... and Great d, always a key player in any matchup. BU was a stacked team like the Yankees of baseball. Y'all, sure enough gave them a run for their money and made them earn every inch. | |
| Brian Greenberg, '00, '02 Cleveland OH: Having followed Miami Hockey much of my life, I've never been more proud of how the team represented the school, themselves, and the fanbase. Congratulations on an amazing season, and here's to winning it all next year, in Detroit! | |
| Lisa ,Oxford ,Ohio: Boys ,you are a wonderful team of hockey players. Hold your heads up high because you have nothing to be ashamed of. And Rico you are one of the best coaches in hockey . Miami hockey is here to stay . We will get them next year . | |
| Leatha (Middletown): What a great bunch of hockey boys! You played your heart out and everbody is proud of each of you. What a wonderful contribution you boys have given MU. Congratulations and thanks for a historical season. I'm looking forward to next season. | |
| Matt (Cincinnati): Thanks guys! You've brought nothing but pride to the university and the alumni. We believed, and you delivered. The outcome wasn't what we all wanted, but thanks for representing. | |
| Cliff Poppel Hamilton , Ohio: Great Season and Great effort .See u all next season... | |
| Barbara, CA (Miami grad/Mom): Congrats on the fabulous season!!!You should be very very proud of yourselves. LETS GIVE THE HOCKEY PROGRAM EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO CONTINUE THEIR SUCCESS! | |

You displayed heart, teamwork, and sportsmanship that made us proud to be Redhawks. Congratulations and thank you for such a great season; can't wait for next year!
| Dan (Oxford): You guys did what no one in the country thought possible three weeks ago - put yourselves in a position to win the national championship. Many questioned if you'd even make the tournament and you just about won the whole thing. Nothing, not even a bad bounce against perfect defense, can take that away from you. This weekend you all played with both love and honor. Thank you. | |
| Christine (Jackson, TN): Way to go! So proud to be an alum. You are a class act and make us all proud of you and Miami sports and the university. You've given a gift to all of us. | |

| Gregg Bachmann (Worthington, Ohio): Next to the 1980 USA v. USSR Olympic game, that was the best hockey game I have ever seen. Containing BU like that was nothing short of a brilliant coaching job. The players' dedication to their teammates and school is unique in today's self-focused world. All of us should watch more Redhawks hockey! Thank you Coach Blasi for creating something truly exceptional. | |
| Rachel (Oxford): You guys let the hockey world know Miami hockey can take any team, anywhere. Unbelievable, great, great year. | |
| Dan in Wilmington, NC: Outstanding effort, boys, all the way through the tournament. You controlled the neutral zone all night long. The shot that got through Cody's armpit for their second goal doesn't get through 99% of the time. He was right where he was supposed to be. Just a bad break. After totally dominating that game for 59 minutes and holding your own in OT, you are national champs to me! | |
| Marcia, '61 (Fort Lauderdale, FL): I am so proud to be a Miami grad and of this great hockey team. Down here, I refer to Miami University as the "real" Miami. | |
| Miami Grads Dad ( Orange County Ca): Great Job RedHawks. We are proud of you (even here out on the West Coast) | |
| Dennis '68 (Ann Arbor): Gentlemen...Awesome effort! Can't wait for next season...We'll be there to see you at Ford Field. | |
| Jake Messer (Milford, OH): A great game for a great team. Now is the time to use that energy from that game and bring it into next season. MAKE NEXT YEAR YOUR YEAR!!!!! | |
| James Cargo ' 03 (Washington, DC): That was without a doubt the greatest hockey game, and perhaps the greatest of any sport, that I have ever witnessed. The ending is still painful to think about right now, but I am proud of Miami and proud to have been there win or lose. | |
| Aaron Yonka '96 (Cincinnati, OH): I'm so proud of the statement that The Brotherhood has made. Love and Honor! | |
| Jim Rea '93 (Dallas): Great season and great game! Congratulations to everyone involved in the program. | |
| Chuck & Peggy Landes, Cincinnati: Congratulations boys on a great year. While the bounces didn't go your way last night, it was clear that you guys were the best. We're so proud of how you represented Miami. | |
| Dick Northridge, Calif.: Have a soft spot in my heart for Miami having gone to high school in Ohio and knowing many who went to Miami. I'm a real fan of RedHawks hockey now. | |
| Matt Waller (Cincinnati): Gentlemen: As a 36 year old that grew up in Oxford and has followed Miami Hockey since I was a little kid, I have one thing to say: THANK YOU. You have blazed a path that no other Miami hockey players have traveled, and that hopefully many will follow. I will be following with great interest, as I always have been. Love And Honor. | |
| Jeff (Clare, MI): Love and Honor. Great job guys. | |
| Jim Bodmer '60: I was there and suffered with you. Sometimes things do not work out like we would prefer, but this is the best season ever and you have nothing to be ashamed about. The seniors will leave, but they did more than last year's seniors, and they more than those before. You are just laying the foundation and whatever happens in the future, you are still a part of it. See you all at the dinner. | |
| Valerie Guthrie '95 (Cincinnati,OH): FANTASTIC JOB!!!! You gave it your all and made every Alum and current student proud to be a Miamian!!! Now if we could only get ESPN to say "MIAMI UNIVERSITY"!!! (not Miami Ohio). Take Care and look forward to continued success with Miami Hockey!! | |
| Janelle Giangerelli '02 (San Francisco): Awesome game hockey game Miami!! I'm so proud of you guys. You have always been such a strong team; but this year was great, and next year will be even better! Keep your heads held high! | |
| Ken '92 Alum: It was a heartbreaking game....but what an incredible run through the tournament. You guys competed with the best in college hockey, and even though we all wish the outcome was different, you made all of us alums so proud!! Thank you! | |
| Patrick Weber '03 (Luxembourg, Europe): Heck of a game guys. I guess Coach Blasi summed it up pretty nicely; it wasn't meant to be this year, but the RedHawks will be back, and it is only a matter of time before Miami University Hockey can celebrate its first of many to come National Championships. Once again, great job guys. | |
| Buck, Kelly and James Cook '96(Erie,PA): As Erie, PA natives and Miami graduates, we all watched the championship game with such pride and joy. We are all so very proud with how you all represented Miami in the national spotlight and that was the biggest victory you had all season. Thanks for all your efforts. GO HAWKS! | |

| Holly (Washington, dc): You guys played an incredible game and should be proud. You've not only made a name for Miami on the national stage, but history as well. Looking forward to next year! | |
| Jack O '58' Naples, FL: I watched the last three televised games along with a good friend of mine who in the past was associated with college hockey in northern MI and the Michigan State program. He said that our team is extremely good overall and a few bad bounces were the only difference in the championship game. Great job and we look forward to the next season. You put Miami on the map. | |
| Martha (Warrenville IL): Congratulations on an outstanding season. This weekend, a national audience witnessed terrific hockey. You are great midwestern and CCHA hockey ambassadors. As supporters of the former UIC Flames hockey team and regular Frozen Four attendees, we were proud to cheer for you on Saturday night. | |
| Rich Crown Charter Cincinnati: All of you from Coach Blasi and his staff to the players you have made all of us from Ohio PROUD. Congratulations and I look forward to seeing you next season. "Go Redhawks" Redhawks is what HAWK-EY is in Ohio!!! | |
| Dallas, Texas - via Minnesota: I was privileged to sit behind the player bench at the Minneapolis qtr finals and quickly became a Miami fan as it was clear these young men worked hard and played hockey the way it was meant to be played. While I was heartbroken at the end results, it was clearly evident what a remarkable group of guys these men were and how they all carried the load for each other. Congratulations on a truly fantastic run and restoring our faith in the true meaning of college athletics. | |
| Theresa Shauck Cano '94 (Houston, TX): Just wanted to say how much I appreciated the game and the effort. This is a game they'll be talking about for a long time. Of course I wish it had gone the other way, but let's face it, that game was epic! Well done, Redhawks! Thank you for making your school and your fans proud, once again. | |
| Karen (Dayton, Ohio): We are so proud to be Miami folks right now. You can be proud of a phenomenal performance. Looking forward to next year! | |
| Victoria (Oxford, Alum): Congratulations to the team and coaching staff, I can't tell you what an exciting ride it has been for us. I can only imagine what it has been like for you! You rocked this town. I've never experienced such an intense couple of evenings, with everyone riveted and elated with your amazing playing. No shame here. We are so very proud of you all and your true greatness of spirit. Thank you. Can't wait for next season! | |
| Jeff (Chicago): You all made everyone affiliated with Miami Proud. Love and Honor. | |
| Evan (Westfield, NJ): My daughter Kim will be attending Miami next year and I am so proud of the way your team performed and am glad to be sending my Daughter and $ to Ohio..... | |
| Ken "65", Mansfield, OH: Very proud of your effort throught out the season and championship game. Hope you can build on this awesome accomplishment and put BU away next year. Thanks for the ride. | |
| Frankie (Oxford): Coming to this university has provided me with a chance to be around the game I grew up with and have loved all my life. You all sparked a fire that I have not felt in a long time and provided me the weekend of a lifetime where I was able to reconnect with my Dad and spend the weekend with him along with many of my friends of Miami. The weekend was unforgettable and you fueled the fire that burns Red & White in support of the RedHawks; something no other sport (or team) has awoken. It was truly an honor to be a apart of it all and be there in D.C. Thanks for all the great memories and I look forward to next year. Love & Honor. | |
| Miami Alum: I was proud to be a Miamian this weekend. I was a student in the early '70s and saw Lloyd Goggin vilified for asking us for extra fees for an ice rink that we'd never even get to use.
