Miami Falls to Toledo in MAC Opener

OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami baseball team dropped its Mid-American Conference opener on Friday afternoon, 2-0 to Toledo.

Toledo took the lead in the bottom of the third inning on a one-out double to left center field by Tim Krofcheck. The Rockets extended their lead in the bottom of the eight with a two-out single by Aaron Dudley. Matt Erwood (Atlanta, Ga.) picked up the tough loss going seven innings only giving up one run and striking out eight. Chris Nadeau (Saline, Mich.) extended his hitting streak to nine games with his double in the fourth inning. Nadeau also did some great work in the field making a sliding catch in foul ground in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The RedHawks and the Rockets will be back in action tomorrow at Scott Stadium at 1 p.m. for game two of their three game series. A live blog will be available for tomorrow's game.
