Sophomore forward/center Julian Mavunga went 3-for-5 from 3-point range, hitting three trays for the second time this season. Mavunga also knocked down 3-of-4 treys against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 20). All six of his career 3-pointers have come over two games. For the third time in the last four games, Mavunga notched a double-double, scoring a career-high 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. He also had double-doubles against Louisiana Tech and Nicholls State.

Midway through the second half, from 11:21 to 10:01, Miami drained three straight 3-pointers with makes from sophomore forward/center Julian Mavunga, junior forward Nick Winbush and senior guard Kenny Hayes.

Miami scored 42 first-half points, which equaled the most it has scored in a half this season. The RedHawks also scored 42 points in the first half at Towson.

In its previous three games, Evansville outrebounded its opponents by a 14.7 rpg margin. Today, the RedHawks, who came into the game being outrebounded by their opponents by 2.2 rpg margin, outrebounded the Purple Aces 36-30.

Freshman guard Orlando Williams made his first career start against the Purple Aces. He is the fourth RedHawk to earn his first career start this season.

The 82 points scored by the RedHawks was the highest point total they've posted this season. Their previous high was 71 points against Towson.
