WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana - Miami University's men's swimming and diving squad took on Big Ten power Purdue Friday afternoon and lost by a score of 200-95.
Coach Pete Lindsay's RedHawks' dual meet record in 2009-10 is now 2-2.
The only Miamian to win a race was 50-yard freestyler David Brown in a time of 21.32.
Sophomore diver James Beres placed second in both the one-meter and three-meter competition. Other runner-up finishes for Miami included Darin Smith in 1000 freestyle (9:42.32), Michael Carroll in the 100 breaststroke (59.47) and Jason Hass in the 100 butterfly (51.75).
The RedHawks swim Saturday afternoon (2 p.m.) at Notre Dame against the Fighting Irish and Cleveland State.
