Miami-Cincinnati Swimming Results in PDF Format
CINCINNATI, Ohio - Freshman Cameron Horner (Columbus) and senior Chris Heaton (Centerville) won diving events, but Miami's men's swimming and diving team lost to host Cincinnati, 189-110, at the Keating Aquatic Center. Coach Pete Lindsay's RedHawks are now 2-6 in dual meet action.
Horner led a 1-2-3 finish for the RedHawks in the one-meter competition with a score of 320.03, finishing ahead of teammates JIM BERES (Columbus) and Heaton. Heaton's score of 363.15 paced the three-meter competition, placing ahead of Horner and Beres.
None of the RedHawk swimmers recorded victories against the Bearcats. Several Miamians had runner-up finishes, including: freshman BRENDAN MELLING (Solon) in the 500 and 1650 freestyles; junior MIKE CARROLL (Toledo) in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events; freshman Chris Gunnels (Chapel Hill, NC) in the 100 backstroke; sophomore Jason Hass (Jackson, MI) in the 200 butterfly; and junior DAVE BROWN in the 50 freestyle.
Miami entertains Buffalo on Saturday afternoon at the Nixon Aquatic Center at 5 p.m.. There is no admission charge.
