Miami's Women's Swimming Team Begins Second Half

OXFORD, Ohio - Coach Dave Jennings's philosophy has always been "one meet at a time" and the next challenge for his championship-minded Miami University's women swimming and diving team is this Friday's (Jan. 16) competition at the University of Cincinnati. The first race starts at 5 p.m. at UC's Recreation Center Pool.
It's the first meet for the RedHawks since their record-breaking performance at the Miami Invitational last December. At that three-day meet, Miami women broke two Mid-American Conference records, established 14 school marks, and had an astonishing 73 individual best times.
"The team is looking forward to getting back into competition this weekend," said Jennings. "The Bearcats will provide a good first test as we focus on preparing for the Mid-American Conference Championships in February. "
A myriad of RedHawk swimmers and divers will face the unenviable task of matching their extraordinary efforts of six weeks ago. These are the athletes who rank among the nation's top 100 swimmers in their respective events:
