OXFORD, Ohio - In an effort to engage the Tri-County community, Miami University Athletics has announced the ticket donation program titled MiamiCares!. MiamiCARES! is a ticket donation program designed to ensure your donated tickets are given, free of charge, to financially, physically or emotionally challenged youth in the Tri-County area.
Disadvantage youth will be able to see Miami University Athletic ticketed events live due to the generosity of Miami alumni, season ticket holders and/or general fans donating tickets to the MiamiCARES! Program. The donation program enables our season ticket holders to provide opportunities to others for games which the season ticket holders will not be able to attend.
"It is our hope, we are able to expose youth who would not have the opportunity to see or experience a fun upbeat college environment live. Also, it's been proven the earlier young people are exposed to higher education and see its benefits, the higher young people raise their own level of expectations in the classroom," explained Anthony J. Azama, marketing director.
"Our student athletes are great roles models that young people should be encouraged to emulate in the form of hard work, study habits and competitiveness" stated Azama.
The MiamiCARES! Program will provide young people a chance to watch true student athletes who compete at the highest level both in the classroom and the playing field.
