Synchronized Skating Teams Host Exhibition Performance Saturday

OXFORD, Ohio--This weekend, the Miami University synchronized skating teams are giving fans a sneak preview of the RedHawks' programs for the upcoming season. All three teams will be showcasing their programs in an exhibition at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. The synchronized skating exhibition is at Coach Cady Arena at the Goggin Ice Center and is free and open to the public.
Miami's senior team performs their short program to a Beatles medley with their long program choreographed to the music of Swan Lake. The collegiate team's short program is to Tango De Roxanne with their free-skate program to the music of Mamma Mia. The RedHawk junior team skates their short program to "Alone" by Celine Dion and their free skate program is a Motown medley.
The exhibition is a tune-up for all three teams, who open their 2008-09 competitive seasons Dec. 6-7 at the Dr. Porter Classic. This season, Miami's senior and junior teams will be representing the United States at the Prague Cup in Prague, Czech Republic. Additionally, Miami's collegiate team will be competing internationally for the first time, representing the United States at the 2008 Winter World University Games in Harbin, China.
