RedHawks play to scoreless draw at Akron

AKRON, Ohio - The Miami University women's soccer team tied the Akron Zips, 0-0, in double overtime on Friday night in Akron, Ohio.
The RedHawks are now 3-4-3 overall on the season and 1-1-1 in MAC play, while Akron is now 6-2-3 overall and are also 1-1-1 in the league.
Sara Lund did all she could to get one past the Zips, firing seven shots, including three on frame as Miami outshot the hosts 13-10 and had seven corner kicks to UA's four.
Krista Pace had five saves in goal and recorded her second shutout of the season.
Miami now travels south to take on Ohio University on Sunday. The RedHawks kick off against the Bobcats at 1 p.m. in the Battle of the Bricks.
