OXFORD, Ohio - Seeking to finish the regular season with a perfect record, the Miami University women's swimming and diving team (10-0; 6-0 MAC) competes in pair of dual meets this weekend when it faces Bowling Green and Kenyon. Miami and Bowling Green hit the pool in Oxford at 5 p.m. Friday night before Miami travels to Kenyon Saturday for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
For a program that has won eight Mid-American Conference titles in the past 11 seasons, the one thing missing on Miami's otherwise sterling resume has been a perfect season. Miami has posted four one-loss seasons over the past five years, but its last season with a perfect dual meet record was 1977 when it went 10-0. Should Miami post a pair of wins, it will give Miami 12 for the season, tying for the third-most wins in program history.
The RedHawks also seek to keep their streak of consecutive MAC dual meet wins intact when it hosts Bowling Green. Miami has won 45 straight MAC dual meets dating back to the 2001 season, and a victory over the Falcons will give the RedHawks their sixth consecutive season with a perfect conference dual meet record.
The two meets are Miami's final two competition prior to the MAC Swimming and Diving Championship. The conference meet is slated for Feb. 14-16 in Ypsilanti, Mich.
