OXFORD, Ohio - The Oxford Community will be teeming with action this weekend as the Miami University Athletic Department will be hosting a Sunday doubleheader of men's basketball and ice hockey. At 1 p.m. Sunday, the Miami men's basketball team will tip off against Mid-American Conference East Division favorite Ohio University followed at 4:30 p.m. as the hockey team battles Ohio State in a Central Collegiate Hockey Association conference match-up.
To accommodate the quick turnaround between games for the Miami students, the athletic department has announced a seating plan to allow students to attend both games easily.
1,300 wristbands will be released after the conclusion of the men's basketball game for the hockey game. Students wishing to receive the wristband can do so at any of the exits from Millett Hall by showing their Miami student ID. This wristband will guarantee students admittance to the game, but not necessarily a seat.
Miami students wishing to attend only the hockey game can do so in normal fashion by lining up at the Goggin Ice Center. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
Tickets for the general public are still available for the men's basketball game vs. Ohio by calling the Miami Athletic Ticket Office at 1-866-MUHAWKS (1-866-684-2957) or online at www.MURedHawks.com. Reserved General Public Tickets are SOLD OUT for the ice hockey game but a limited number of standing room only tickets still remain.
