OXFORD, Ohio - By virtue of her performance in the one-meter dive at the Zone "C" Diving Championships last weekend, Miami University senior diver Christin Eberst qualified for the NCAA Division I Diving Championships. The back-to-back Mid-American Conference Diver of the Year, Eberst will be competing in her third career national meet when she travels to the Gabrielsen Natatorium March 16-18 in Athens, Ga.

Eberst's previous top one-meter finish at the NCAA Championships was 24th in 2004, while her top three-meter finish was 32nd, also in 2004. As a freshman in 2003, Eberst placed 36th on the one-meter board and 41st on the three-meter board.
While she qualified on the one-meter board, Eberst is eligible to compete in all three diving events at the NCAA Championships. The top 16 divers at the national meet are named to the All-American team. Miami's last diving All-American was Caroline Kelly who placed 11th in the platform in 1996.
