RedHawks Strong on 3-Meter Board at Indiana Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On the second day of competition at the Indiana Invitational, the Miami University women's diving team placed two divers among the top 15 finishers on the 3-meter board. Sophomore Melissa Roemmele placed 13th and sophomore Erin Jones finished 15th, as both divers narrowly missed advancing to the finals.
After placing in the finals of the 1-meter dive yesterday, Roemmele finished one spot out of the 3-meter finals with a score of 252.25. Jones was the only other Miamian to advance to the semifinals on the 3-meter board, turning in a 15th-place score of 242.60.
Also on Saturday afternoon at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center, four additional Miami divers competed in the 3-meter dive but did not advance past the preliminaries. Sophomore Alex Enriquez placed 22nd (229.35), while freshman Kelsey Anagnos, senior Katie Meister and freshman Rachel Smith finished 26th (211.70), 27th (202.10) and 28th (199.45), respectively.
After taking a week off for the holidays, Miami resumes full team action when it hosts the 13th Annual Miami Invitational Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
