Senior Synchronized Skating Team Dominates Short Program

FRASER, Mich.--The Miami University
senior synchronized skating team opened up competition at the Midwestern
Synchronized Championships in Fraser, Mich., in dramatic fashion by winning the
short program by more than 14 points over its closest competition the Crystallettes. The RedHawks score of 64.75 is the highest
score awarded this season to a team in the
" This was a great skate by our team," said
head coach Vicki Korn. "We came out tonight very
focused and relaxed and it showed. We have put ourselves into great position
heading into the long program tomorrow night."
Tomorrow the senior team completes
its competition at the Midwestern with its long program in the evening, while
the collegiate squad hits the ice in morning.
