MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - For the third consecutive weekend, the Miami University women's soccer team (5-6-0, 3-3-0 MAC) came out on the short end of a Sunday conference game as they dropped a 1-0 decision to the Central Michigan Chippewas (6-5-2, 5-0-1 MAC) at the CMU Soccer Complex.

Miami and Central Michigan played scoreless soccer for nearly 69 minutes until Katy Boggan scored the game-winning goal at the 68:57 mark, dropping the RedHawks record to 0-3 in Mid-American Conference games played on Sunday. Miami has won each of its three Friday conference games.

Despite holding an opponent to one goal or less for the seventh time this season, Miami was unable to find the back of the net as senior Lindsay Dunmead (Plymouth, Mich./Northville) and junior Kathleen Vistica (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) were the only two RedHawks to manage a shot on goal. Miami was outshot 14-5 in the contest but held the advantage in corner kicks, 7-6.

The goalkeeping tandem of senior Leigh Terry (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) and junior Shannon Chew (Mason, Ohio/Mason) combined to stop four Central Michigan shots.

Miami continues its four-game road stretch next weekend when they travel to face the Akron Zips (Oct. 14) and Ohio Bobcats (Oct.16).
