MOREHEAD, Ky.— The Miami University soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision against Morehead State during a Thursday non-conference game in the bluegrass state. The RedHawks move to 3-3-0 with the result in their last out-of-conference game of the season. Morehead State is now 2-4-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morehead State opened and closed the scoring in the ninth minute from the right foot of Kennedy Baquero to make it 1-0, assisted by Jade Walton and Hannah Burke.
- The RedHawks' best chance came on a shot from the right side of the box from Ava Boyd that hit the inside of the left post but did not go in.
NOTES
- Despite the deficit at half, the RedHawks outshot the Eagles 6-1 and produced five corner kicks to the Eagles' one.
- Katie O'Malley led the team in shots with five and Shae Taylor recorded the second-most with three.
- Dominique Popa only allowed one goal, lowering her goals-against average to 1.16.
