The Miami women's tennis team ended the regular season on a high note, knocking off the University of Toledo, 4-3, and improving its Mid-American Conference record to 4-5.
After the Rockets won the double's point, winning two-out-of-three, the RedHawks captured the match thanks to the singles play of its final four spots as sophomore Nancy Wiegand, freshman Remy Swain, senior Ilze Meyer and freshman Maura Trauernicht each won their No. 3-No. 6 matches, respectively.
Miami is now 9-12 on the season and 4-5 in MAC play. The RedHawks travel back to Ypsilant, Mich. next week for the MAC Championships on Thursday, April 24-Saturday, April 25. Seedings for the tournament will be announced early next week.
