OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami women's tennis team took home their second win of the season, 6-1, over the University of Dayton at the Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton, Ohio.
During the match against the Flyers, the RedHawks took five of the six individual matches. Sophomore Nancy Wiegand (Hamilton, OH/Badin), freshman Remy Swain (Louisville, KY/duPont Manual), junior Ilse Meyer (Vanderbijlpark, South Africa/Transvalia), freshman Maura Trauernicht (Omaha, NE/Millard North) and sophomore Grace Cascarilla (Lakewood, OH/Magnificat) all earned victories for the Red and White. In doubles action, Miami swept Dayton, 3-0. The duo of Wiegand and Swain posted Miami's widest margin of victory in doubles play, winning 8-0.
The RedHawks return to action tomorrow, hosting Wright State on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton, Ohio.
