OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University's head women's swimming coach Dave Jennings announced the signing of another athlete to a National Letter of Intent today. Kathryn Stephens (Western Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) is the second swimmer to sign with Miami during the early signing period.
"Kathryn will be able to come into our program and make some waves immediately," said Jennings. "She is a versatile swimmer who will compete in several events, and we are excited that she is now a RedHawk."
While competing in the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, as well as 50 and 100 freestyle, Stephens has qualified for the state meet all four years of high school. She also has been an all-American each of her first three seasons. This season's all-America list is yet to be announced.
Stephens joins Lauren Evanosky (Westport, Conn./Staples) who signed an NLI on Tuesday, Nov. 12, the first day of the early signing period.
