Although the year is different, the result was the same for Miami's women's swimming and diving team as they defeated Cincinnati 131-106 at the Keating Natatorium on the campus of St. Xavier High School on Friday night.
In the third event of the evening, freshman Katie Forster (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) got Miami on the board when she touched the wall first with a time of 1:55.26 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Miami took home its second first-place finish in the eighth event of the evening as Jackie Hiltman (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 0:53.14.
In the women's next event, Trisha Lamb (Oregon, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) topped the rest of the field by swimming the 100-yard backstroke in 0:59.25.
Forster won her second event of the evening by swimming the 500-yard freestyle in 5:01.66 as the RedHawks won their third consecutive event.
Freshman Christin Eberst (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) also did her part in securing Miami's victory by beating the rest of the field in the one- and three-meter diving events at Miami's Corwin M. Nixon Acquatic Center earlier on Friday.
The RedHawks travel to Oakland University today for a 2 p.m. meet to conclude their first action in over a month.
