BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In the same fashion as it defeated Ball State on Friday, Miami University's women's tennis team topped Bowling Green, 4-3, on Saturday, collecting three singles wins and the doubles point. The RedHawks improve to 12-8 overall and 5-2 in Mid-American Conference action.
Seniors Kadija Richards and Catherine Dilley posted wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Richards notched a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over BGSU's Devon Bissinger, while Dilley produced a 6-2, 6-3 win over Susie Schoenberger. The duo also downed the Bissinger/Schoenberger tandem at No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Both Richards and Dilley finished the weekend perfect in singles and doubles play.
Freshman Cassie Uhl topped Bowling Green's Laura Kokinda, 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 6 singles. Senior Erica Echko and freshman Nancy Wiegand stopped BGSU's Lisa Maloney and Jessica Johnson at No. 3 doubles, 8-6.
