The Miami University women's tennis team defeated the University of Toledo, 6-1, in action at Laurel Hill Tennis Club on Saturday.

The RedHawks swept all six singles matches, led by No. 1 singles specialist senior Kadija Richards, who won 6-1, 6-4 over Toledo's Monica Ribero. The RedHawks' Megan Zimpfer, Brooke Peyton and Catherine Dilley each took three-set matches, while Erica Echko and Grace Cascarilla each won in straight sets to complete the sweep.

In doubles action, the No. 2 team of Zimpfer and Peyton won, 9-7, and No. 3 Echko and Wiegard won 8-4. Richards and Dilley suffered Miami's only set back, losing the No. 1 doubles match, 8-4.

The Rockets next play at home versus Marshall on Tuesday.
