Team Notes

? Saturday's attendance of 27,253 marked the highest crowd attendance of the season for the RedHawks.

? After allowing a kickoff return to the RedHawk 28 yard-line, the Miami defense surrendered points for the first time in four games in the first quarter on a Stafford Owens' touchdown run.

? After its initial scoring drive, the RedHawk defense held Ohio without a first-down for the remainder of the first half on only 24 yards.

? Miami's 28 first-half points match a season high scored at Buffalo two weeks ago.

? Martin Nance's 57-yard catch was the second longest play from scrimmage for the RedHawks this year.

? The RedHawks continued their recent success of converting turnovers into points as they scored two touchdowns off two Bobcat fumbles. Miami has now forced 23 turnovers and scored 65 points off of them.

? Miami's 88-yard scoring drive marked its longest drive of the season, surpassing 87 yard-drives against LSU and Toledo.

? For only the second time over the last seven games, the Miami offense failed to score on either of its opening drives.

? With the victory, Miami secured its ninth consecutive winning season.

Individual Notes ? Luke Clemens' two rushing touchdowns moved him into fourth on the single-season all-time rushing touchdowns list. The scoring runs also marked the third straight multi-touchdown game for Clemens.

? Michael Larkin's seventh and eighth touchdown receptions this season moved him into fourth on Miami's single-season chart. In addition, the two scoring grabs matched a career high for Larkin.

? Ben Roethlisberger's 248 yards on 21 of 31 passing and two touchdowns marked his 20th game with a touchdown pass and the 14th game of his career throwing multiple touchdowns.

? With their two touchdown hookups, Roethlisberger and Larkin moved into a tie for second as the highest scoring tandem in school history.

? Milt Bowen's 23-yard kickoff return to open the second half moved him to third all-time in the Mid-American Conference for return yardage.

? Mike Smith's 45 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown were career highs.

? Martin Nance's 57-yard reception was the longest of his career.

? Andre Henderson's 46 yards on four catches tied a career high for yardage.

? Jared Parseghian's consecutive field-goal record was extended to 14 with a 37-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

? Running back Cal Murray left the game with a potential concussion in the first quarter and was taken to McCullough-Hyde Hospital for observation. Murray returned to the Miami sideline in the fourth quarter. His status will be updated tomorrow.
