OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University head football coach Chuck Martin has announced the addition of two members to his staff. Zach Fremder will serve as the Director of Football Video and Creative Services, while Darren Kagey joins the RedHawks as the Director of Recruiting.
Fremder, a 2026 Miami graduate, spent the past four seasons with Miami football, working closely with the social media team. He created daily graphics for social media, recruiting and marketing. He also traveled with the team as an in-game photographer and assisted with live posting and editing at each game. He also worked closely with Miami men's basketball since 2023, helping them with social media and photography.
"These last four years at Miami have been nothing short of incredible, and I have already made so many lasting memories with Miami Football," said Fremder. "I'm looking forward to furthering the RedHawks' national social media presence while fostering a creative culture that anyone would be proud to be a part of. Love and Honor, go RedHawks."
Fremder graduated from Miami with a pair of degrees in journalism as well as sport communication and media.
Kagey spent the past season with Miami football as the assistant director of football research and prior to that was the head analytics student intern for the RedHawks from 2022-24. During his time with the Red and White, he managed the internal transfer board application, assisted in college scouting, helped with recruiting and oversaw all of the student analytics team.
"I am beyond excited to join the RedHawk football program," said Kagey. I look forward to helping Miami football and the entire Miami Athletic Department."
