Miami Drops A Pair To Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Miami University's softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader Saturday at Ball State by scores of 1-0 and 5-3.
Katie Shen's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Robin Martin with the only run of the first game and gave Ball State the dramatic win.
In the second game, the RedHawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Cardinals answered back with four runs in the bottom of the frame. Ball State scored a run in the sixth inning to account for the final score.
Miami plays this weekend at the Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic in Akron, Ohio.
