Swimming and Diving Teams Prepare to Face Cincinnati
1/12/2001 12:00:00 AM | Men's Swimming and Diving
Miami University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in their first dual meet since Nov. 18 on Friday at 6 p.m., when they go up against Cincinnati at the Laurence Pool on the campus of UC.
Both the men's and women's squads look for redemption from last year's dual meet at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center where the Bearcats defeated the RedHawks. The men's team fell 177-136, while the women loss 150-127.
Miami's men's team enters with a 4-3 dual meet record, and the women (4-5) will look to move their season winning percentage to .500 against the Bearcats.
Both teams begin a four-week stretch of dual meets, which lead up to the Mid-American Conference Championships. The women's championship is in Buffalo, Feb. 22-24, while the men will be at home as host of this year's championship, March 1-3.
