RedHawks Drop Home Meet To Purdue, 182-118

OXFORD, Ohio (Nov. 3) -- Miami University's men's swimming team dropped its home meet on Friday to Purdue University 182-118 at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.
Kevin Mulgrew (Malden, Mass./Malden Catholic) swam to a first-place finish in the 1000 freestyle (9:32.75). Kelly Ball (Granger, Ind./Penn) also took home first place in the 200 freestyle (1:42.28), while John Carroll (Toledo, Ohio/St. Francis) took top honors in the 200 butterfly (1:52.41). Andrew Keefe rounded out the first-place swimmers by winning the 100 backstroke (52.59).
Dylan Nichols (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) dove to first place in the one-meter diving event, finishing with 273.30 points. Nichols also was the top diver in the three-meter event, totaling 283.35 points.
