RedHawks Swimming Teams Begin Season at Tom Stubbs Relay

Miami's men's squad had three fourth-place finishes and four fourth-place finishes. Coach Pete Lindsays' team finished fourth in the 300 yard backstroke relay, 1,500 yard freestyle relay and the 400 yard medley relay. Eastern Michigan's team won five of the relay events, followed by Oakland with four.
The RedHawks' women' team failed to win any of the relays, but coach Dave Jennings' team made a strong impression at the meet. His squad had seven second-place finishes, out of the 11 relay events.
The women finished second in the 300 yard butterfly and breaststroke relays, 200, 400, 800 and 1,500 yard freestyle relays and the 400 yard medley relay. Eastern Michigan's women's team was the big winner with six first-place relay finishes.
The men's and women's teams are back in action Saturday, October 28 at Purdue. The women's competition starts at 4 p.m. and the men's starts at 6 p.m.
