Miami Sweeps Bowling Green and Ohio

OXFORD, Ohio (Jan. 29) Miami University's men's swimming and diving teams completed a sweep against Bowling Green and Ohio at Corwin Nixon Aquatic Center. The RedHawks (6-4, 4-1) downed the Falcons 194-102 and took care of the Bobcats 177-123.
Sophomore Kevin Mulgrew (Malden, Mass./Malden Catholic) controlled the distant freestyle events winning both the 1,650 freestyle (15:54.14) and 500 freestyle (4:42.46). Senior David Hoeller (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) swam to a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (59.20), while junior John Kirk (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) captured the 200 breaststroke (2:19.56).
Junior Will Sensenbrenner (Champaign, Ill./Central) won the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.98, and sophomores Eric DiSalle (Maumee, Ohio/St. Francis) and Jason Finck (Villa Hills, Ky./Beechwood) swam to first-place finishes in the 200 butterfly (1:55.00) and 200 backstroke (1:56.14), respectively.
Senior Andrew Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) continued his success on the diving board taking top honors in the three-meter diving event with 292.20 points. Sophomore Dylan Nichols (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) won the one-meter diving event with 293.25 points.
The RedHawks travel to the University at Buffalo next Saturday to take on the Bulls and the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The start of the meet is scheduled for 4 p.m.
