Men's Swimming And Diving Teams Strokes Past Toledo

Junior Will Sensenbrenner (Champaign, Ill./Central) and sophomores Jason Finck (Villa Hills, Ky./Beechwood) and Kevin Mulgrew (Malden, Mass./Malden Catholic) each picked up two victories apiece. Sensenbrenner won the 50 freestyle (21.24) and the 100 freestyle (46.54), Finck captured the 200 backstroke (1:55.26) and the 400 individual medley (4:13.90), and Mulgrew swam to first place in the 1,000 freestyle (9:33.42) and the 500 freestyle (4:42.20).
Juniors John Kirk (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) and Don Smith (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) took home the top awards in the 100 breaststroke (58.51) and the 200 breaststroke (2:08.91), respectively.
Sophomore Eric DiSalle (Maumee, Ohio/St. Francis) won the 200 freestyle (1:43.33), while freshman Kelly Ball (Granger, Ind./Penn) swam to first place in the 200 butterfly (1:54.53).
Senior Andrew Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) continued his success on the diving board as he dove to another first-place finish in the three-meter diving event with 299.63 points. Sophomore Dylan Nichols (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) captured the one-meter diving event with 261.90 points.
The RedHawks next take to the water next weekend when Ohio University and Bowling Green State University travel to Oxford. The meet is slated for 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 29.
