Men's Swimming & Diving Drops Season Opener to Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - (Oct. 30) Miami University men's swimming and diving team lost its' season opener 219-61 at Purdue University on Saturday. Senior Andrew Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) was the lone RedHawk to earn a first-place finish as he dove to a 241.05 score in the one-meter diving competition.
Junior Donald Smith (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) swam to a third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke, while sophomore John Carroll (Toledo, Ohio/St. Francis) finished in third place in the 200 butterfly.
The RedHawks travel to Northern Illinois next weekend to take on the Huskies and Ball State University in a dual meet.
