Swimming Teams Earn Top 25 National Preseason Rankings

OXFORD, Ohio - (Oct. 15) Miami University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams are both ranked among the nation's top 25 teams entering the 1999-2000 season announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Top 25 Coaches Swimming and Diving Team Preseason Poll.
Head coach Pete Lindsay's men's team is ranked No. 20 in the poll while Dave Jennings' women's team is ranked No. 23. Last year, both teams won the Mid-American Conference Championships and Lindsay was named the MAC Coach of the Year. Men's and women's diving coach Todd Spohn was decorated with coach of the year honors from the MAC for both the men's and women's team.
The MAC Championships will be held at Bowling Green on March 2-4 for the men and at Ohio University on Feb. 24-26 for the women.
