Amanda Chamberlain

Amanda Chamberlain enters her second season with the RedHawks heading into the 2025 season. Chamberlain most recently served as a coach at Martin High School and Texas Advantage Volleyball Club.

While with Martin High School (Arlington, Texas), Chamberlain worked as both a coach and teacher from 2022-2024, helping plan and assess student learning. She assisted the MHS volleyball head coach in planning and conducting practices, providing individualized instruction and analyzing game footage to identify areas of improvement. Chamberlain has also served as a head coach with Texas Advantage Volleyball Club since November 2023, where she was responsible to lead all aspects of the volleyball program. Chamberlain supervised player development, practice planning, game strategy, scouting and team travel.

During two prior stints with NorthPoint Volleyball Club (2014-18 and 2021-2023), Chamberlain oversaw an array of duties in her roles as head coach and assistant club director. She collaborated with the club director to develop, implement and communicate club policies, programs and initiatives. Chamberlain played an important role in the recruitment, evaluation and selection of players for various club levels, directing volleyball clinics and tryouts. She also helped supervise camps and club finances. 
 
Chamberlain attended the University of North Texas, where she competed as a four-year member of the volleyball team from 2014-2017 and produced 1,036 kills. Chamberlain led the Mean Green to a conference title in 2017 and was a part of the winningest class in program history.

She was recognized as a Conference USA All-Freshman player in 2014 and was named First-Team All-Conference in both 2016 and 2017. During her junior year, she led the team with 337 kills and hit .361 (the second-highest hitting percentage in program history). In that same season, she garnered AVCA All-Southwest Region Honorable Mention honors. In her final season with the Mean Green, Chamberlain led the team in kills (348), solo blocks (24), block assists (98) and total blocks (122). Before graduating, Chamberlain set the UNT school record for single-season (.436) and career (.364) hitting percentage. Chamberlain also finished her career with the second-most block assists (302), fourth-most total blocks (372) and ninth-most solo blocks (70) in program history.

Chamberlain is a three-time member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or better, and was named to the university's President's List in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2018 from the University of North Texas. Chamberlain was also a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, a Criminal Justice Honor Society that requires members to hold a 3.2 (or higher) GPA throughout college.
