Rebecca Harris joined the Miami University coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Harris spent the previous year as the Associate Head Coach at Laney College, helping the team to a 26-4 record, a conference championship and a trip to the Final Four. She focused on player development and game planning and worked directly with guards, including several that have recently committed to play at the next level (Long Beach State, Cal State Bakersfield, and UC Irvine).
Prior to her time at Laney College, Harris played over 15 years professionally (Euroleague, overseas, Athletes Unlimited), was a Player Executive Committee Member for Athletes Unlimited, and volunteered as an assistant girls basketball coach at Piedmont High School in Oakland, Calif., for the 2024-25 season.
Harris has also spent time at Rend Lake College (2017-18, head coach), Mascoutah High School (2016-17, head coach), Chipola College (2012-13, assistant coach) and helped assist in coaching numerous junior teams during her time overseas.
Harris earned her bachelor's degree in speech communications from Illinois Champaign-Urbana in 2008.
