Avery Wright begins her second year with the Miami women's basketball program.

This past season Wright was part of a staff that won a school record 28 contests, while also capturing a MAC Regular Season and a MAC Tournament Championship in 2025-26. The RedHawks also competed in their first NCAA Tournament since 2008.

Wright joined Miami after spending the past two seasons as the Assistant AD/Director of Operations for the women's basketball staff at Xavier. In her time with the Musketeers, Avery oversaw all team and recruiting travel and played a key role in Xavier's recruiting efforts. She was also in charge of allotment of team gear, camp operations, team scheduling and coordinated the NIL collective efforts.

"Avery brings a wealth of experience to our program which will greatly benefit us," said Box. "We are delighted and fortunate to have Avery here with us."

Wright has also spent time as a Championship Assistant with the Big 12 Conference (2023), Graduate Assistant with the Oklahoma State women's basketball team (2022-23), Athletic Director's Intern at Texas Tech (2020-21) and a Student Assistant with the South Plains College women's basketball team (2016-17).

Wright completed her undergraduate degree in 2020 and added a master's degree in 2021 from Texas Tech.
