Alioune Ndiaye

Returning for his second season as an assistant coach is Alioune Ndiaye.

Ndiaye's responsibilities include working with the post players, recruiting (including being charge of international recruiting), scouting, game scheduling, community service coordination, handling the RedHawk male practice players and organizing Miami's summer camps.

Prior to his time at Miami Ndiaye spent two seasons at St. John's as the video coordinator. While with the Red Storm he was in charge of analyzing video of all the team's practices, providing detailed reports to the head coach. He assisted head coach Joe Tartamella with the scouting of opponents and directed the scouting meeting. He also coordinated the team's film exchange during his time at St. John's.

Ndiaye also served as an assistant coach with the women's basketball team at Dowling College in Oakdale, N.Y. from 2011-13. In his two seasons with the Golden Lions, Dowling went 52-11 and advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championship game in 2013. Ndiaye was in charge of coaching the post players for the Golden Lions, while assisting in scouting, recruiting and coordination of off-campus community service programs.

Ndiaye was a three-year letterwinner for Dowling College from 2007-10. A starting center for two years, he ranks third on the Golden Lions' all-time single-season list with 44 blocks in 2009.

Ndiaye is a native Senegal and is fluent in English, French and Wolof. He received his bachelor's degree in finance from Dowling in 2010. He earned a master's degree in education from Dowling in 2013.

Ndiaye and his wife Danielle have three children, daughters Lailah (4) and Milania (2), and recently welcomed son Isaiah this past June.
