Jonathon Elliott was named an assistant coach for Miami Hockey in July 2023.
Elliott served as the RedHawks' director of hockey operations during the 2022-23 season. He came to Miami in 2022 from Saint Mary's University (Minn.), where he served as an assistant coach for the previous four seasons at his alma mater.
Elliott graduated from Saint Mary's in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sports management, and played four years of NCAA Division III hockey for the Cardinals from 2012-2016. He recorded 22 points in his college career (10-12-22).
After graduation, Elliott worked for a year with the Onyx Ice Arena in Rochester Hills, Michigan and then spent the 2017-18 season on staff with the Texas Brahmas of the NA3HL. Elliott's time in Texas included a brief stint as the Brahmas' interim head coach.
“Jonathon did a good job in an operations role with our program,” said head coach Chris Bergeron. “We are excited to add his professional and personal skill set, along with his experience, to our coaching staff.”
