Matt Brown joined the Miami Golf coaching staff in 2026.

Brown comes to the RedHawks after serving as the head coach of both the men's and women's golf programs at Earlham College. He joined the Earlham men's golf staff as an associate coach in 2021 before being promoted to head coach in 2024. In 2023, he was also named head coach of the women's golf program. From 2017-2023, Brown served as Earlham's Director of the Quantitative Reasoning Center.

Previously, Brown was the head golf coach at IUPUC (now Indiana University Columbus) from 2011–12.

A graduate of Hanover College, Brown earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics while competing as a four-year member of the men's golf team. He later received a master's degree in pure mathematics from Purdue University. As a player, Brown competed in the 1980 NAIA National Championship and earned medalist honors at the 1980 Cincinnati Enquirer Invitational at Xavier University.

Brown and his wife, Barbara, reside in Richmond, Indiana. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
