Biography
2006-07: Competed in the sprints and horizontal jumps ... indoors, registered career-best distance in the triple jump (37-1 3/4) at the Ball State Quadrangular ... ran season-best time in the 200 meters (26.39) at the Rod McCravy Invitational ... ran on the 4x400 meter relay team, which finished sixth (3:51.60) at the conference meet ... outdoors, sailed to career-best distance in the long jump (19-3 1/2) at the MAC Outdoor Championships, where she placed fourth ... also ran a leg on the 4x400 meter relay team, which placed fifth at the conference meet (3:46.86) ... ran career-best time in the 400 meters (58.47) at the Vanderbilt Invitational ... added season-best triple jump (35-10 3/4) at the Duke Invitational.
2005-06: Competed in both the jumps and the long sprints during the indoor season ... ran top time in the 400 meters (1:00.16) at the Cedarville Open ... posted top long jump of the indoor season (17-10 1/4) at the All-Ohio and top triple jump (36-3 1/2) at the Eastern Illinois Invitational ... part of the 4x400 relay team that placed sixth at the MAC Indoor Championships ... also placed 13th in the triple jump and 19th in the long jump at the indoor conference meet ... outdoors, ran a leg on the 4x400 meter relay team that placed fourth at the MAC meet ... ran career-best time in the 400 meters (58.69) at the Charlotte Invitational ... posted career-best triple jump (36-10 1/4) at the Miami Invitational.
2004-05: Indoor Track and Field -- Competed in the first three meets of the indoor season with a top long jump of 17-0 3/4 at Bowling Green ... also competed in the triple jump and 400 meters at that meet.
Outdoor Track and Field -- Competed at four meets, entering in the long jump, triple jump and 200 meters over the season ... top outdoor long jump was 16-3 3/4, a third-place finish at Ohio University ... top triple jump of 33-10 1/4 came at the All-Ohio Championships ... fastest 200 was at the Southern Ohio Cup, finishing sixth in 26.84.
2003-04: Competed at two indoor meets, entering three events (long jump, 100m & 200m) at both the Kent State Gala and Oiler Opener ... at the latter, took 11th in the long jump, 12th in the 200 and 13th in the 100 ... finished in the top 10 of both the long jump (7th) and 100m (10th) outdoors at the Southern Ohio Cup ... tied for eighth in the long jump at the Cardinal Open.
High School: Was a state champion in the long jump and 4x100 relay as a junior ... qualified for state in both events as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Dave and Judy Horning ... majoring in political science and journalism.
