Four Former RedHawks on NHL Opening-Night Rosters

NEW YORK— Four former Miami Hockey players are included on opening-night rosters for National Hockey League teams as the 2026-27 season gets underway tonight: Blake Coleman, Sean Kuraly, Jack Roslovic and Kiefer Sherwood.
Coleman joined the Minnesota Wild via trade this summer after five seasons with the Calgary Flames. The two-time Stanley Cup champion produced 35 points (20-15-35) in 69 games for Calgary last season and owns 325 total points (170-155-325) in 693 career appearances.
Kuraly is back with the Boston Bruins after collecting 22 points (6-16-22) in 82 games last season to begin his second career stint with the franchise. He has put up 175 total points (70-105-175) in 644 NHL games.
Roslovic signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer and tallied 36 points (21-15-36) in 69 games for Edmonton a year ago. He has produced 296 career points (123-173-296) in 595 NHL contests.
Sherwood will play his first full season with the San Jose Sharks after a January 2026 trade from Vancouver. He finished last season with 36 points (23-13-36) in 72 games between the Sharks and Canucks and has totaled 134 points (66-68-134) across 337 career NHL appearances.
