Brown and Van Deusen Named MAC Setter Pair of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio— Miami University volleyball freshman setter Holland Van Deusen and freshman setter Madison Brown were named the Mid-American Conference Setter Pair of the Week following their performances last week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Van Deusen and Brown combined for 99 assists (5.5 assists/set), helping Miami to 126 kills (14.00 kills/set) with a .366 hitting percentage over three wins at the ISTAP Collegiate Cup against Nicholls, Alabama State and South Carolina State. Van Deusen tallied 60 assists (6.67/set), 19 digs (2.11/set), three service aces (0.33/set) and three kills (0.33). Brown added 39 assists (4.33/set), 18 digs (2.00/set) and four service aces (0.44/set). The two setters helped the Red and White win the tournament, as the RedHawks did not lose a single set over the weekend.
This is the first MAC weekly award for the RedHawks this season.
