Miami Hockey Announces Addition of Cal Huston

OXFORD, Ohio— Miami Hockey head coach Anthony Noreen announced today that Cal Huston will join the RedHawks' program ahead of the 2026-27 season. Huston, a defenseman from Youngstown, Ohio, spent last season with Youngstown in the USHL.

PRIOR TO MIAMI

Played 115 games for Youngstown Phantoms over past two years
Put up 17 points (2-15-17) in 2025-26 season and served as assistant captain on Phantoms' Anderson Cup-winning team
Collected nine points (1-8-9) the previous year with Youngstown, producing a +29 rating.
Handed out 21 assists in 50 regular-season appearances with a +13 rating for NAHL's Maryland Black Bears in 2023-24
Added five assists in 11 playoff games for Maryland in 2024
Attended Austintown Fitch High School
