Five Miami Golfers Named to Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND— Five Miami University golfers were recognized as Academic All-MAC today. The Miami student-athletes who received this honor from the Mid-American Conference for the 2025-26 season are Tyler Anderson, Liam Nelson, Cameron Pero, Nathan Vonderhaar and Michael Weber.

Anderson (a native of Phoenix, Ariz.) and Nelson (who hails from Chicago) are both Finance majors in the Farmer School of Business and just completed their sophomore seasons. Pero, a native of Bloomfield, Ontario who just finished his senior year, also studied Finance at Miami. Fellow senior Weber (Burlington, Ontario) majored in Sport Management in the College of Education, Health and Society. Vonderhaar, a junior in 2025-26, is studying Accountancy in the Farmer School of Business and resides in Mason, Ohio.

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
