Steele Named a Finalist For Jim Phelan and Hugh Durham Award

This season, Steele has led the RedHawks to a record-breaking season, as Miami remains the only undefeated team in the country at 30-0 (17-0 MAC). Miami holds a new program record for wins in a season, breaking the mark of 25 established last year.
The Jim Phelan Award is named in honor of a legendary bow-tied coach who spent his entire head coaching career at Mount Saint Mary's University.
The Hugh Durham award is named in honor of the former Florida State, Georgia and Jacksonville head coach. In eight seasons at Jacksonville University, Durham became the Dolphins' all-time winningest Division I coach (106 wins), making him the only coach in NCAA history to be the winningest coach (pct. or wins) at three different Division I schools.
