Female Winner: Chrisna Bezuidenhout
Chrisna Bezuidenhout competed in the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday, March 21. Bezuidenhout posted a time of 1:53.80 in the 200-yard backstroke, which was her fastest time ever, and set a school record. This effort earned her a 29th-place finish. A junior swimmer from Wake Forest, N.C., she is studying Biology Premedical and Pre-Health Studies in the College of Arts and Science.
Male Winner: Matthew Howard
Matthew Howard won the javelin throw at the Blizzard Buster in Oxford, Ohio, with a mark of 61.33m. This throw is the seventh-best in Miami's all-time outdoor records and puts Howard first in the MAC standings and 49th in the NCAA D1 standings. A senior thrower from Dublin, Ohio, he is majoring in Finance/Business Analytics in the Farmer School of Busines.
