Miami Hockey Checks in at No. 20 in National Polls

OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University hockey team returned to the national rankings today, checking in at No. 20 in both the USCHO.com poll and USA Hockey polls. Miami is 17-9-2 this season (8-8-2 in NCHC play) and currently sits 21st in the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI), which is used to select the 16-team NCAA Tournament field.
The RedHawks split with No. 4 Western Michigan last weekend in Oxford, posting a 3-2 overtime win Friday before falling in the series finale to snap their five-game winning streak. The victory on Friday was the Red and White's first against a top-five opponent since December 2022.
Miami travels to No. 3 North Dakota this weekend for a series in Grand Forks. Puck drop on Friday, Feb. 13 is set for 8:07 p.m. ET.
