Men's Swim and Dive Holds Second After Day Two of MVC Championships

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Miami University men's swimming and diving team continued the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championship and currently hold second place after scoring 732.5 points. Missouri State sits at first (744 points), Southern Illinois is third (579.5 points), Ball State is fourth (473 points), University of Illinois Chicago is fifth (466.5 points), UMass is sixth (416.5 points), Evansville is seventh (184 points) and Valparaiso is eighth (177 points) after day two at Deaconess Aquatic Center.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks men's swimming and diving team will return to Deaconess Aquatic Center for day three of the MVC Championship. The preliminaries start at 11:30 a.m. and the finals begin at 6:30 p.m.
How it Happened:
- The RedHawks began day two with the 100 fly, as Duncan Salmen (47.08) claimed second and Allen Cotton (47.18) finished third overall.
- Owen Hoban earned a first-place finish in the 400 IM (3:48.65). Elijah Rolfsen was the next closest RedHawk, as he secured fourth place (3:51.84).
- In the 200 free, Bryce Menchhofer grabbed eighth (1:37.62) to lead the Red and White.
- Miami concluded day two with the 200 medley relay, where Jensen Nelson, Brady Miller, Salmen and Tegan Barrier managed to finish in third (1:25.87).
